Sandra S. Pitsch, 82, of Eagle, WI passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at her home with her loving family at her side.
Sandy was born on July 24, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of Harold and Mildred (Findler) Smith. Sandy grew up in the Milwaukee area and graduated from Pulaski High School in 1955. Sandy lived in Milwaukee until she moved out to Eagle for the peace and quiet. She spent the last 40 years in the Eagle community. Sandy worked for P&H Harnischfeger for the majority of her working career. She held various positions at Harnischfeger and worked her way up until she retired as a salesperson. Sandy’s work ethic was a major part of who she was as a person. She was very independent and capable and could be feisty and stubborn at times. Sandy showed her strength in her work as well as in her personal life, battling and beating cancer multiple times. She was strong until the very end of her life. Sandy’s family was the most important thing to her. She was happiest spending time with her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also had a special affection for her dogs. For leisure, she enjoyed gardening, fishing, bowling, and playing Sheepshead. She was also a gifted artist and had a natural ability in painting and sketching. She passed this gift to some of her grandchildren as well. Sandy was a good woman and lived a full life and she will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.
Sandy is survived by: her loving daughter, Sindy Ruhe of Milwaukee, WI; her granddaughters, Elizabeth (Eric) Engelke of Arkansas, Nicole Ruhe of Milwaukee, and Melody (Sidney) Dugas of Milwaukee; and her great-grandchildren, A.J., Samantha, Ella, Shyanne, Tyler, Sid II (PJ), and Kaydence. She is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
In accordance with Sandy’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service.
