Kenneth J. Ridgeman, Sr.

Kenneth J. Ridgeman, Sr. age 75, of Mukwonago, WI passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

Ken was born on December 9, 1945 in Waukesha the son of Walter and Anna (Pietrowski) Ridgeman. He grew up in Eagle and graduated from Mukwonago Union High School. After high school, Ken faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force and received a medal for his distinguished service. On December 6, 1969, Ken married Cherryl Cunningham at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee and the Lord blessed their union with three loving children, Kenneth, Jr., Jennifer and Timothy. Ken worked as a truck mechanic for the majority of his working career and finished his career in 2004 as a service and warranty manager. He grew up as a member of St. Theresa Catholic Parish of Eagle and later attended St. James Catholic Parish of Mukwonago. Ken had an appreciation for a hard day’s work. He took pride in providing for his family and made sure they had what they needed. Ken’s wife, children and grandchildren were the most important thing in his life. He was a devoted family man. Ken had a quiet personality and a dry sense of humor with no shortage of “dad jokes”. He was an avid Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers fan. He also enjoyed working on cars, tending to his vegetable garden, feeding the birds, playing cards and a good crossword puzzle. Ken will be dearly missed but his memory will live on through his family.

He is survived by: his loving wife of 51 years, Cherryl Ridgeman; his loving children, Kenneth (Jennifer) Ridgeman of Woodbury, MN, Jennifer (James) Jost of East Troy, WI, and Timothy Ridgeman of Mukwonago, WI; his dear grandchildren, Johnathan, Jenelle, Jessica, and Jack; and his siblings, Elizabeth Heine, Thomas Ridgeman, Gertrude Fredenberg, Walter Ridgeman, and Irene Ridgeman. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by parents, his beloved grandson, Benjamin, and his brother, Stanley.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at the Gibson Family Funeral Home in Eagle, WI (103 W. Eagle St. Eagle, WI 53119). Deacon Anton Nickolai will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 9:00AM to 11:00AM at the funeral home. Ken will be laid to rest in St. Theresa’s Catholic Cemetery in Eagle, WI with full military honors at a private burial.
