Clayton Batzler Obituary

Clayton John “Jammer” Batzler, 61, of Sullivan, WI and previously of Knowles, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 8, 2023 at his home.

Clayton was born on December 7, 1961 in West Bend, WI the son of Hilary and Joy (Riffel) Batzler. After his schooling, he worked in a number of different capacities. He drove truck for quite a few years and enjoyed his time on the road very much. He was proud of his CDL and operated semi-trucks and school buses. He was also very skilled with his hands and could fix just about anything. He put this talent to good use working for a number of different companies maintaining machines and equipment and also owned his own maintenance business, Jammer’s All Phase. He enjoyed working and worked very hard.  Even when Clayton’s body would not allow him to work full time, he made sure to keep himself busy around the house with tasks.  Clayton had a big personality and loved people. He had no problem striking up a conversation with just about anyone at any time. He had a unique style and sense of humor and was completely confident in himself. Clayton was blessed with three children, Brandon, Matthew and Andrea and five grandchildren, Emmanuel, Christian, Ryley, Hadleigh and Oliver. His children and grandchildren were the lights of his life and he loved each one dearly. He had quite a few interests in his life but some of his best times were spent out on the water fishing. Above all else in Jammer’s life was his faith in Jesus. He was not perfect, but he sincerely loved his Lord and Savior. He ended just about every conversation with the same words, “Jesus loves you, and so does Jammer”. Clayton’s family takes great comfort in the fact that he is now in Heaven with his Lord.

He is survived by: his children, Brandon Batzler of Hartford, WI, Matthew (Carrie Griep) Cross of San Diego, CA, and Andrea (Jeremy) Kane of Hartland, WI; his grandchildren, Emmanuel, Christian, Ryley, Hadleigh, and Oliver; his sister, Debby (Jim) Lewis of Wisconsin Dells, WI; and his brother, Steve Batzler of Lake Delton, WI. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Darryl Batzler and Craig Batzler.
