Robert "Bob" Lee White

Robert L. “Bob” White, 76 of Palmyra, WI left his earthly home for Heaven on Sunday, June 23, 2019.

Bob was born on July 1, 1942 in Eureka Springs, AR the son of Willie and Anna (Parker) White. Bob spent his childhood in Arkansas, moved to Palmyra at the age of 13 and graduated from Palmyra-Eagle High School. On June 25, 1966, Bob married Linda Borth at the Palmyra United Methodist Church and the two would go on to enjoy 53 years of marriage together. God blessed their union with two loving children. Bob worked a few jobs throughout his working career but most of them involved driving truck. Bob loved to drive and he and Linda owned a few of their own businesses that incorporated shipping and hauling. Bob was stubborn, engaging, and loved his family. He was at his best when surrounded by those he loved. His loving family remembers the family get-togethers and picnics that they shared. He was also a man of deep faith and lived his faith for all to see. Faith in Jesus was the most important thing in Bob’s life. One example of his faith in action was ministering to inmates at the Jefferson County Jail for over 13 years. Bob was a good man and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Bob is survived by: his loving wife, Linda White; his two children, Brenda (Brian) Jalas, and Gary (Stacey) White; his beloved grandchildren, Kyle White and Anna Jalas; his 3 brothers, Lee (the late Bernadine), Charles (the late Sandy) and Jim (Mary) White. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents; his 3 sisters, Ruth (Arlyn) Blomgren, JoAnn (the late Roger) Schroeder, and Betty White.

A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00PM on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at the Gibson Family Funeral Home, 320 West Main Street, Palmyra, WI 53156 with the Rev. Jeffrey Steiner presiding. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until the time of service at the funeral home. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
