James Richard Moldenhauer

James R. Moldenhauer, 82 of Whitewater, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at his home with his loving family by his side.

Jim was born on January 25, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI the son of Elmer and Irene (Bartz) Moldenhauer. He married his loving wife, Judith Mahlberg on March 22, 1958. The Lord blessed their union with 2 children. Jim worked as a Manager in the Automotive Industry. He began his career in 1958 with the American Motors Corporation and later the Chrysler Corporation, retiring in 1992. Jim had a second career working for Tri City Bank for 17 years. Beyond sports and telling stories and jokes, his favorite pastime was watching and studying birds. He also enjoyed the outdoors and turkey and pheasant hunting. In addition to his family, Jim’s faith was also very important to him. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Palmyra. He was happiest when surrounded by those he loved. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Jim is survived by: his loving wife of 61 years, Judith Moldenhauer; his 2 children, Jay (Robert) Mikulec, and James Moldenhauer II; his 2 grandchildren, Erika (Matthew Senn) Mikulec, and Kendra (Michael) Eaves; 1 great-grandchild on the way; a brother, Warren Moldenhauer; and a sister-in-law Carol Moldenhauer. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents; his twin brother John; and his sister-in-law Betty Moldenhauer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Palmyra, WI.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30AM on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Palmyra, WI with the Rev. Steven M.D. Blyth presiding. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30AM until the time of service at the church. Private internment at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin.
