James Keith Briggs, 51, of Brunswick, MO and a former Boonville, MO resident died at his home in Brunswick on Tuesday, February 23, 2010. Funeral services will be held at the Gibson Funeral Home in Brunswick, MO, Friday, February 26, 2010 at 2:30 P.M. Reverend Wendell Turner officiating. Burial will be in the Elliott Grove Cemetery at Brunswick, MO. He was born on August 23, 1958 at Galveston, TX the son of James Alva Briggs, Jr. and Marolyn June Spillers Briggs. He was a meat-cutter and an avid hunter and fisherman. He was an Elks member and a member of the Marceline Eagles.
He is survived by his fiancé Brenda Sherbahn of the home; his father, James Alva Briggs, Jr of Brunswick, MO; son, James Alva Briggs III, and daughter, Kristy Dawn Polk both of New Franklin, MO; his sister, Sandra Kay Briggs of Hallsville, MO, one niece, Rachael Briggs’ McQuitty and three grandchildren, Zachary, Ryan and Austin. He was preceded in death by his mother.
