Obituary
Nellie June Nunn, 82, of Brunswick, MO died on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO. Funeral services will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Brunswick, MO, Friday, February 19, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Glen Drewitz officiating. Burial will be in the Elliott Grove Cemetery at Brunswick, MO. June was born on June 6, 1927 in Wayne County, MO the daughter of Lester Bromton and Julia Cora Bennett Thurber. She was married to Victor Lee Nunn On February 19, 1968 at Miami, Ok. Victor preceded her in death on May 20, 2006. Nellie had been a housewife and a homemaker, she was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church at Brunswick, MO and a member of the Rucker-McAllister Post # 7 American Legion Auxiliary also of Brunswick, MO. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Snider of Dupo, IL and Jeanette Crow of Chandler, AZ; two sisters, Jeanette Siefkas of Brunswick, MO and Marie Thomas of Wheatland, MO; one brother, Mac Thurber of Blue Springs, MO; sister-in-law, Joanna Williams of Columbia, MO; five grandchildren, Toni Gilkeson, Marie Snider, Jeff Snider, Bill Marinacci and Tracy Crow and several great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Bromton, Dallas and Lester Thurber and two sisters, Eileen Barksdale and Antonette Fredrick. Pallbearers will be Mike Gilkeson, Bill Marinacci, Jeff Snider, Clint Asbury, Rick Derenzy, Charlie Hamilton and Jacob Snider.
